This is Gainesville’s premier horticultural event. The Spring Garden Festival features about 175 booths offering plants, landscape displays, garden accessories, arts and crafts, educational exhibits and, of course, foods. Also featured are live entertainment and live auctions.
This year’s theme will highlight our Bamboo Gardens. Kanapaha has the largest collection of bamboo in Florida.
Admission is $8 for Adults and $5 for children three to thirteen. Cash only at these events. A $2 discount is given for members of Kanapaha. No pets allowed during the festival.
The children’s area is included with the admission price and includes potting up a plant to take home, a photo opportunity, a bean bag toss, and many arts and crafts, such as making a tissue paper butterfly, newspaper hats, and coke bottle flowers.
Parking is free and two off-site parking areas are serviced by shuttle buses.
